Because the law on same-sex marriages changes frequently, many legal issues surrounding queer partnerships need to be dealt with outside the typical family law system; therefore, Law Offices of Susan L. Ward is able to use their client-centered approach to support queer folks and families, such as helping settle child custody disputes, same-sex adoptions/second-parent adoptions, name and gender marker changes, and navigating queer divorce.
