Description

THISTL is a trans-led organization founded in 2022 that aims to tackle the systemic injustices that trans humans face in the housing sector. Please reach out to programs@thi-stl.org for more information.

Services include:

  • Rental/Financial assistance for trans humans facing housing insecurity. Funding is limited.
  • Classes for trans and gender nonconforming adults, such as financial literacy, homebuyers education, and credit repair. Attendance is covered and participants receive a stipend upon completion.
  • Advocacy for trans humans facing discrimination in housing/shelter processes through the TRANSforming Fair Housing in St. Louis project
  • For shelter providers, THISTL offers in person trans competency trainings and the opportunity to vet that organizations policy's non-discrimination and equal access.
