Description

The mission of Opportunity House is to create a St. Louis where all young people (ages 17-24) have access to safe and stable housing. Services are available to those who are pregnant and parenting, have a physical or cognitive disability, struggle with mental illness or addiction, and so on. The housing site is located in south St. Louis City with close access to shopping, public transportation, Tower Grove Park, and other community resources.

Opportunity House has a LGBTQIA+ Housing program even though the org itself is not queer or trans only/specific. They support St. Louisans by:

  1. Providing Housing
Offer low barrier housing to young people experiencing homelessness.

  2. Creating Stability
Provide basic necessities, physical and mental health care , and ongoing support.

  3. Encouraging Growth
Provide ongoing employment and education support to build necessary skills.

  4. Building Community
Support the development of a supportive community to ensure long-term success.

Note: The Referral Form is not a waitlist. Opportunity House will not be responding to referrals when they are received. They will be prioritizing folks based on need, taking into consideration vulnerabilities and length of time experiencing homelessness.
