Post Release Transitional Program

Description

In Missouri there are two work release centers. These centers are not traditional centers in that residents have been granted parole release but require additional employment-related assistance. When a prisoner has been granted parole, he or she is transferred to a work release center. The individual leaves the facility on a daily basis to look for employment. When the person is stabilized, i.e. employed, housing secured, s/he is released to parole supervision. The work release centers are under the supervision of the Division of Parole and Probation, which is a part of the Department of Corrections.	www.doc.missouri.gov/	"(573) 751-2389
