St. Louis Region Housing Helpline

In Operation

Description

"314-802-5444 (hotline open Mon-Fri 7:30 AM-8 PM)

Saint Louis County residents who are homeless or experiencing a housing crisis can seek assistance by calling the Emergency Shelter Hotline. The Hotline is that can be accessed by calling a single number 314-802-5444. The caller is interviewed by an intake specialist, and if in crisis, is referred to either emergency shelter or rent/mortgage/utility assistance. The Hotline is the result of a collaboration between the City of Saint Louis and Saint Louis County, who jointly fund the program. Most (but not all) of the shelters and transitional housing locations in both the city and county will say you need to start the process by calling the Housing Helpline (formerly Housing Resource Center.) The Intake process takes place at Biddle House Opportunities Center or St. Patrick Welcome Center. Note from June (02/12/2020): The regional housing helpline can't place a person until they are unhoused. So someone who's trying to be proactive & seek transitional housing before they are put out will not work. "
