Description

T4T Caregiving is "a grassroots collective of trans caregivers and doulas for trans people having gender-affirming surgeries." They offer live-in caregiving anywhere in the continental US for a sliding scale between $400-$200 per day. Make sure to book services 3-6 months in advance.

Caregivers help with things like:

  • Choosing the right surgeon for your needs
  • How to prepare your body for surgery
  • Emotional support
  • Family communication support
  • Changing bandages
  • Emptying and managing drains
  • Errands
  • Meal preparation
  • Patient advocacy

"As trans people who are all post op ourselves, we know how important this time is for each of us. We believe in our community. We believe in caring for each other. And we know that no one else understands the trans experience like another trans person."
