Description
T4T Caregiving is "a grassroots collective of trans caregivers and doulas for trans people having gender-affirming surgeries." They offer live-in caregiving anywhere in the continental US for a sliding scale between $400-$200 per day. Make sure to book services 3-6 months in advance.
Caregivers help with things like:
- Choosing the right surgeon for your needs
- How to prepare your body for surgery
- Emotional support
- Family communication support
- Changing bandages
- Emptying and managing drains
- Errands
- Meal preparation
- Patient advocacy
